The Metamorphosis

The Metamorphosis

Then again, the winter came.
And all the migrating birds flew to a distant end.
They didn’t see the falling, frail, broken-wing bird,
who couldn’t ascend.

And as ever the winter- long stayed.
but nobody noticed- the lifeless, frozen bird,
laying still, in the shelter of a cold shade.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-

Then, the spring came-
and the sun, with its golden glow.
When the spread of warmth, melted the snow,
the frozen bird- streamed inside the water flow.

And, with its mist and rain,
the spring stayed, til the summer came.
Everybody saw the bare crown of the peaks,
the blooming flowers, and the greening trees.

But, nobody gazed to see-
she was the only bird-
who made it-
to the sea.
